Dee’s art is influenced by her career in national health education and advocacy for vulnerable communities.
Storytelling underpins Dee’s artwork, with frequent themes touching on ageing, feminism, social injustice, and politics. Her art presents unconventional interpretations of both the natural world and daily life, using colour and form in creative ways to discover meaning in the ordinary.
Born and raised in Ireland, Dee worked in the Middle East before calling Australia home since 1990. Dee works in her art studio – Allambee Art Studio and Little Gallery in Jerrabomberra. Open by appointment.
